Welcome!What do you need to know about early childhood? Information on activity ideas for ages birth to five, child development and behavior, and owning a family or center-based child care—and more—is available at the Debra S. Fish Early Childhood Resource Library. Over 3,000 books, videotapes, DVDs, and periodicals on early childhood are available. All you need is a free library card!
Special collections include: Spanish/English, Spanish, Cambodian, Hmong, Vietnamese, Nuer, Oromo, Arabic, and Somali/English.

The library was named in honor of Debra S. Fish, who made significant differences in Resource for Child Caring's training and development capabilities. She was the first training coordinator for Toys 'N Things, the first director of Toys 'N Things Press (now named Redleaf Press), and the first development director for Resources for Child Caring.
Library Hours
Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Monday - Thursday, 6:00 to 9:00 PM if evening classes are held

Lending Policy
Our lending library requires that patrons have a Debra S. Fish Early Childhood Resource Library card. Apply for a library card here.
- All materials may be borrowed for three weeks. Extended loan arrangements can be made by contacting the librarian at library@resourcesforchildcare.org.
- Materials may be requested by phone or email. Patron is responsible for return postage. Our books by mail program is only available to library patrons outside the seven-county metro area.
- Materials cannot be checked out through this Web site.
- Materials can be renewed in three ways:
